Space sector work focuses on propellant tanks, pressure vessels and robotic arms, delivering 30%-70% weight reduction, using aluminium and titanium-based technology.

TISICS uses its near net shape moulding techniques and solid-state diffusion bonding which allows complex shapes to be built by additive manufacture of simple pre-forms with a reduced dependence on welded joints.

TISICS recent investment in tank production facilities, including new cleanrooms and post-assembly testing, coupled with developments on diaphragms and qualification testing enables UK-sourced Diaphragm Flight Tanks from 2023.
